Bringing disability entrepreneurship into public view

In May 2026, Impact Hub Phnom Penh hosted the Berk Chet Festival as part of the ELEVATE program, opening our doors to the public to spotlight the talent and business ambitions of persons with disabilities across Cambodia.

The festival built on a full year of groundwork, transforming our building into an accessible space and backing eight PWD-led businesses with grants and hands-on mentorship, and turned that foundation into a public celebration. Eight entrepreneurs showcased their products at exhibition booths, visitors took part in hands-on workshops on accessibility and inclusion, and performers took the stage, all supported by Khmer Sign Language interpretation running throughout the day. In total, 350 people attended, including 59 persons with disabilities, and the event’s reach grew further as partner organizations and performers shared their own reflections and videos with their audiences online.

Experience Visual Accessibilities

A hands-on workshop exploring visual impairment barriers and accessible innovations, led by a facilitator with visual impairment working in inclusive policy, that let visitors directly experience how everyday tasks become harder without accessible design.

Food Stalls

Alongside the festival’s exhibition booths, free food stalls welcomed all attendees, ensuring no one was left out regardless of ability to pay. In keeping with the festival’s values, the stalls also prioritized a plastic-free approach, serving food with sustainable, low-waste practices in mind.

Performance by Kesorrr and AxlKash

The festival stage featured song performances by KESORRR and AxlKash, adding energy and musical variety to the day’s program. Alongside the dance and storytelling acts, their performances helped create a lively, celebratory atmosphere while reinforcing the festival’s message of inclusion through music.
