About Changemakers Program!

Changemakers 2026 is a 10-month program designed to equip 32 adolescent girls and young women from Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Ratanakiri, and Stung Treng with the skills and confidence to become agents of change in their communities. Through youth-led solutions — whether social projects or business ideas — participants advocate for themselves and those around them, driving positive impact at both a personal and community level.

Throughout the program, participants strengthen their leadership, project management, and entrepreneurial skills through masterclasses, mentoring, hands-on support, and visits to established organisations that provide firsthand insight into how impactful initiatives operate. Selected participants form teams of four to develop and implement their ideas, supported by seed funding to bring them to life.

The journey is just getting started — follow along, cheer them on, or get involved. We’d love to hear from you.

Changemakers 2026 Offers:

Innovative Social Solutions Building

Participants are guided through a structured process to identify real community challenges and design youth-led solutions — whether a social project or a business idea — that create measurable impact in their communities.

Real-World Exposure

Through site visits to established organisations and change-driven enterprises, participants gain firsthand insight into how impactful initiatives operate — building their confidence and expanding their vision of what is possible.

Mentoring and Coaching

Each team is paired with mentors and receives additional support from the Impact Hub Phnom Penh team, who provide personalised guidance and accountability throughout their leadership and project or business.

Seed Funding

32 participants form into 8 teams, each receiving USD 600 in seed funding to bring their social projects or business ideas to life — turning plans into real-world action with tangible community impact.

Knowledges and Skills Development

Through expert-led masterclasses, participants gain tailored knowledge in their selected topics — from STEM to WASH — helping them better understand community needs and ground their projects in real contexts. They also develop project management and business ideation skills.

Self-Paced Online Learning Platform

Participants have access to our online learning platform, which enables them to develop their project management skills at their own pace alongside the core program.

Changemakers 2026 Launches Through a Tripartite Partnership to Empower Cambodia's Next Generation of Women Leaders!

Changemakers is one of our flagship programs, designed to empower Cambodian youth with leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

In 2026, the program returns through a collaboration led by Plan International Cambodia and Impact Hub Phnom Penh, implemented with the support and recognition of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA) through its Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Centre to advance adolescent girls’ and young women’s leadership and economic empowerment across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Ratanakiri, and Stung Treng.

Anchored by the vision of “Let Girls Lead,” Changemakers 2026 is paving the way to cultivate a new generation of confident young women leaders and entrepreneurs who can meaningfully contribute to Cambodia’s social and economic development.

1,345 km travelled, 4 provinces reached, and 400 young people exposed to new opportunities!

Ahead of the program launch, Changemakers 2026 travelled more than 1,345 kilometres across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Ratanakiri, and Stung Treng to connect with local youth through a series of roadshows and outreach events.

Featuring interactive workshops and sharing sessions led by young women role models, these events provided participants with fresh perspectives, exposure to new opportunities, and inspiration to explore their leadership potential.

To date, we have engaged more than 400 young people across the four target provinces.
