A BIT ABOUT ME 🌟
My name is Sovattha — a proud Cambodian, a wife, a mother of 3 children, and someone who’s always been passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives. What drives me most is creating spaces where others can grow, lead, and thrive. That’s why stepping into the role of CEO at IHPP means so much to me. It’s not about IHPP being lucky to have me — I honestly feel lucky to be part of such a mission-driven and inspiring team.
Over the past 21 years, I’ve worked across a range of development sectors, both in technical and leadership roles, with organizations like CARE, the UN, Oxfam, GIZ, Transparency International, FAO, IFAD, and WaterSHED. Each step of the way has deepened my belief in people, community, and the power of bold, collective action.
The more I learn about IHPP and its vibrant network of changemakers and forward-thinking partners, the more excited I am about what lies ahead. I truly believe this next chapter will be filled with meaningful collaboration, big ideas, and lasting impact — and I’m so proud to be on this journey.
WHAT I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT ⭐️
- I’m passionate about continuous learning. I believe that anyone can be a student and learn at any stage of life — no matter their age, background, or profession.
- In my free time, I find joy in simple things that recharge me: gardening with music in my ears, reading in peaceful green spaces, jungle camping and hiking, and the challenge of running marathons.
