A BIT ABOUT ME 👨🌾
I am an autodidact and life-long learner and supporter of impact makers in the field of social entrepreneurship, agriculture, and environment. My life philosophy is to go through the necessary growths and discoveries as I offer my service in helping rural youth and smallholder farmers rise out of poverty and lead fulfilling lives in harmony with nature. It is what I wish to do at Impact Hub Phnom Penh.
One of my proudest achievements was being selected in 2022 to live and assist a farmer’s cooperative in Kampong Cham for a year. I led a team to assist their members and youth in successfully forming a lemongrass producer group, resulting in the sale of 2.5 tons of lemongrass. This direct exposure unveiled the challenges they’re facing and sparked my passion for rural youth empowerment and sustainable growth. It deepened my understanding of rural livelihoods and inspired me to initiate the “Dassatek” project, which secured the YSEALI Seeds for the Future Grant in 2023.
WHAT I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT 🚵♂️
- Fascinated by the essence of agriculture and the delicate balance of the Earth ecosystem, I’m driven by a question-how do we feed the world while minimizing ecological impact and preserving our delicate ecosystem balance.
- Other passions include earthen building, journaling, mastering the art of learning, creating psychologically safe work environments, and embracing non-violent communication.
- Solo long-distance bicycle touring is my preferred sabbatical. It’s how I want to recharge at least once a year.
- I would like to keep myself active by training for a trail run and ultra-running/cycling event.
