About Khmer Agriculture for the Future Incubator

Khmer Agriculture for the Future (KAF) Incubator is a 10-month program to assist ventures in climate-resilient agriculture. Our goal is to develop and strengthen ventures that promote climate-resilient and agroecological practices, specifically those that reach smallholder farmers in four target provinces: Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Oddar Meanchey, and Preah Vihear.

Throughout the program, our participants will strengthen key business areas, including financial management, marketing, leadership, and partnerships, through one-on-one mentorship, group masterclasses, and peer learning. They’ll also build a stronger understanding of climate-resilient agriculture practices and how they can be applied to support their business growth and the farmers they work with. Along the way, they’ll gain visibility, connections, and tailored support to help you scale your impact.

Meet the inspiring changemakers

Khum Banteay Neang Meanchey Agricultural Cooperative

is an early-operational business focuses on strengthening member capacity, improving technical skills, and expanding market access. They promote raising native chickens with natural feed and aim to build a more resilient, sustainable poultry value chain.

Moan Srie Phum Toul Prasat Agricultural Cooperative

is an early-operational poultry business. They focus on selling chickens and ensuring proper vaccine use to maintain healthy flocks. MPTAC is working to improve operations, address poultry diseases, and secure capital to expand. They aim to strengthen their management and grow a more structured production model.

Aliments

promotes drip irrigation, soil testing, CAM-GAP, PGS, and climate-smart practices. Their goals include expanding contract farming for crops like garlic and ginger, enhancing immune-boosting product lines, and building a facility for export readiness.

Samroh Mukh Rea Agricultural Cooperative

is an early-operational business supporting 50 chicken farmers. SMRAC promotes natural feed, traditional farming, and home-based vaccines, while offering technical training and farmer recognition. Their goals include scaling production, forming restaurant contracts, and integrating smart systems.

Cambodia Kdie Songkhoem Kaksikor Union of Agricultural Cooperative

sources vegetables, chickens, and processed products. They supply agri-inputs and promote CAM-GAP, greenhouse farming, and solar irrigation. CKUAC aims to expand retail outlets, grow their app user base, and boost farmer incomes through improved storage, marketing, and governance capacity.

Kok Mon Meanchey Agriculture Cooperative

is an early-operational business producing and selling certified rice seeds. KMAC focuses on drought and flood management while supporting farmers with training in seed production, packaging, and storage. Their goals include expanding the producer group, improving market access, and reducing production costs.

Banle Sovatapeap Rong Roeung Agricultural Cooperative

is a farmer-led group in Mongkol Borei, Banteay Meanchey. They grow and sell vegetables, offer farming services, and supply agri-inputs via Smart Agro. Their goal is to scale up production, boost leadership, and connect better with buyers.

Tekkrorham Kelom Or Chivakpheap Agricultural Cooperative

supports farmers by facilitating contract farming and linking them with buyers like AMRU Rice. They process and sell milled rice locally and regionally, while also supplying seeds and fertilizer to members. TKCAC aims to secure working capital and invest in a rice barn and dryer to strengthen post-harvest operations.

Our approach

Tailored Business Strengthening

The program begins with a business diagnostic to assess your goals and needs. From there, you’ll receive tailored support through dedicated mentoring and masterclasses focused on business fundamentals such as operations, finance, leadership, and marketing. Peer learning sessions will allow you to learn from each other’s journeys as entrepreneurs, cooperative and union leaders, sharing real-world experiences, exchanging practical insights, and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

In-person Support

Our team will visit your business in person twice during the program — once in the early stage to better understand your context and provide targeted support in areas like communication, branding, or internal processes, and again toward the end to help shape a clear growth roadmap and reinforce key foundations of your business.

Technical Mentorship on CRA Integration

You will work closely with a climate-resilient agriculture mentor who will help you explore how to apply agroecological and climate-resilient practices in your business and across your farmer networks.

Visibility and Networks

Your journey will be supported with increased visibility and connection to the wider agri-ecosystem. This includes a professionally produced video to showcase your work, exposure to farmer communities in key provinces, a field visit to explore market opportunities, and curated introductions to potential partners, buyers, and ecosystem players.

Equity-Free Funding

Each selected venture will receive up to $5,000 in seed grant funding to support key areas of business growth. This funding is intended to be used strategically — to help you implement what you learn during the program, strengthen your operations, and integrate relevant climate-resilient agriculture (CRA) practices that can benefit your business and the farmers you work with.
