Information, Communication, and Technology for Positive Impact
Through the SmartSpark+ incubation program, we got to work with ten amazing startups to strengthen their business and prepare for future growth. We selected our cohort of entrepreneurs based on their track record to date (they needed to have an existing prototype) and the contribution of their ICT venture to the Sustainable Development Goals. We then provided them with capacity-building related to entrepreneurial skills and mindset, tailored support, and visibility to further develop their startup.
Ultimately, the program provided a launchpad to a new generation of exciting, cutting-edge ventures applying tech and digital solutions for good.
Program pillars
Bootcamp and Masterclasses
An intensive bootcamp focused on helping teams better understand their target customer and develop a sustainable business model. Regular masterclasses further deepened teams’ knowledge of foundational business concepts.
One-on-One Support
We offered biweekly mentoring sessions with a dedicated mentor and extra one-on-one support to create a promotional video for the startup.
Pitch Day
This was a valuable opportunity for participants to showcase their businesses in front of strategic partners and the public, providing significant awareness and visibility.
Financial Support
The winning team received a $5,000 cash prize award as seed funding to invest in and further develop their business, as well as tailored post-program support.
