An entrepreneurship program to tackle road safety, the future of transport, and mobility in Cambodia
month incubation program
month financial readiness fellowship
Reimagining the future of transport
The Urban Mobility Incubator was part of the larger SUMAI initiative, a partnership between Grab and UNDP Cambodia. The program’s mission was to support innovative technologies that could transform mobility in Cambodia — and make it more inclusive and sustainable.
We kicked off with ‘Cities of the Future’: a hugely successful event that welcomed over 200 participants and speakers from across the ASEAN region to learn about sustainable urban mobility. We then launched the incubator program in Phnom Penh for innovative idea-stage projects with potential to create real impact in mobility and transport. Through the program, they received tailored support from Impact Hub Phnom Penh to validate prototypes, test them for market viability, develop business plans, meet potential partners, and strengthen their teams.
Our Approach
6 month incubation program
Teams received 6 months of incubation with Impact Hub, including masterclasses with local and international experts and dedicated mentorship.
3 month financial readiness fellowship
Three exceptional teams were selected for the next stage, where they benefitted from tailored support in areas such as financial modelling, financial planning, business registration, speaking with investors, and more.
Pitching event
Teams pitched to a panel of judges and an audience including media, investors, and potential partners and customers. It was a valuable opportunity to grow their visibility, build a network, and gain valuable feedback.

“As a new idea and a small company, it can be very hard to speak to the big organizations or high-level stakeholders. The Urban Mobility Incubator program has given us the connections, visibility, and legitimacy to access the key decision makers that can partner with us and buy our product. It’s accelerated our growth and saved a lot of time and energy!”
