Accelerating innovation in healthcare
The Lafiya Innovators program supported early-stage startups in healthcare and wellness over two cohorts in 2022 and 2023. The incubator was part of a multi-country program to bolster the health entrepreneurship ecosystem across Bangladesh, Cambodia, Colombia, and Ghana. Impact Hub Phnom Penh proudly implemented the incubation program in Cambodia.
We offered tailored support — including mentoring, masterclasses, and field visits — to an inspiring group of early operational startups. Through Lafiya Innovators, they improved their business acumen, operational effectiveness, and impact in their respective fields — leaving a lasting imprint on the future of their own businesses and on Cambodia’s health sector at large.
Our approach
Intentional Community and Mentoring
We rigorously selected a cohort of diverse health startups, fostering a peer-to-peer learning community and complemented by tailored mentorship from experts.
Hands-On Training and Masterclasses
A holistic package of workshops and masterclasses built essential business development and social entrepreneurship skills.
Field Visits and Practical Exposure
Field visits provided real-world insights and practical exposure, enhancing participants’ understanding of health sector challenges and opportunities.
Pitching Events and Funding Opportunities
A culminating pitching event offered visibility and funding opportunities to top startups, spotlighting local innovation and scalable health solutions.
“Lafiya helped me have an overall understanding of how entrepreneurship works, specifically in the health sector. It was very fruitful in guiding me, helping me know myself, lead the direction of the company, and identify how to produce, measure, and forecast results. I’m glad my team can also understand the nature of the business more and improve our harmony in working as a team.”
