Empowering youth, greening the future
We’ve organized Climate Action Week in Cambodia from 2021 to 2023 to empower Cambodian youth in climate action and sustainability. Each year, the program emphasized different aspects:
- In 2021, we engaged participants in environmental workshops and sustainability discussions, leading to the creation of the Green Cambodia We Want manifesto.
- The 2022 program introduced collaborative projects and in-person events, including the 10-day Climate Action Challenges.
- In 2023, under the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) format (the first in Cambodia!), we equipped youth with knowledge and skills for innovative climate change initiatives.
Climate Action Week has engaged hundreds of participants over the years — activating a vibrant and diverse network of young environmental advocates in Cambodia.

Connected to a global movement
LCOY2023 culminated in development of the “Youth Statement on Green Cambodia We Want,” which two Cambodian youth delegates presented at COP28 and COY18 in Dubai.
Equipped & inspired
Every year, we organized over a dozen skill-building workshops and dialogue sessions on topics such as climate policy negotiation, green jobs, clean energy in Cambodia, and leading a sustainable lifestyle.
Engaged in tangible action
Through actionable challenges, community events, social media activation, and other creative approaches, we fostered spaces for youth to lead.
“I was thrilled to be a part of Climate Action Week. It was a new experience unlocked that I’d never be taught at school. The guest speakers came from different backgrounds and it was a motivation to step out of the box. I had an opportunity to get to know other people from different schools and organizations to form a team to be creative to switch plastic to another product. I got so much inspiration from the organizers, guest speakers, and the workshop itself.”
