Enhancing the skills, visibility, and creativity of early-stage content creators
Content creators have significant influence in Cambodia, where social media is a main platform for information and discourse. Yet, the professional field is underdeveloped, particularly the upskilling of content creators with a public interest mission.
Prosob Content Camp supports aspiring content creators to gain experience in creating social and civic engagement-related content and increase the visibility of their work. The content creators that we supported launched or significantly grew their platforms through the program, supported by technical training, one-on-one coaching, and our creative “sprint challenge” approach. Despite having nearly no online presence prior to the program, they have now become some of the most exciting mission-driven content creators in Cambodia.
Launching media innovators’ journeys
From concept to reality
We mean it when we say this was a hands-on program! The content creators went through three intensive rounds of “sprint challenges” to create 30 pieces of content related to social or civic engagement topics. It wasn’t easy, but they achieved this feat with our team and their peers championing them at every step.
New content ideas and formats
We offered training and mentorship to help participants explore new content strategies to spread their messages through attention-grabbing formats. They learned practical skills in how to package and distribute content throughout various platforms.
Raising the bar
Through a series of workshops, we unpacked together what it means to produce “content for impact.” Our partner BBC Media Action provided practical and thought-provoking training on safeguarding, gender mainstreaming, and editorial standards in media.
