The Urban Mobility Incubator was part of the larger SUMAI initiative, a partnership between Grab and UNDP Cambodia. The purpose of the partnership was to shine a light on and support the technology and innovations that could transform mobility in Cambodia, and make it more inclusive and sustainable. We did this in a number of ways; the partnership began with a huge kick-off event called ‘Cities of the Future’, which was a huge success, welcoming over 200 participants to learn about sustainable urban mobility, and welcoming speakers from across the ASEAN region. We then launched the Urban Mobility Incubator, A six-month incubation program in Phnom Penh for early-stage startups who have progressed beyond ideation and are now seeking further support to validate prototypes, test them for market viability, develop business plans, meet potential partners, build high-performance teams and create investable businesses.
