What are we looking for in NOW-Us! Award Cambodia 2022?
After the success of 2021, this second year of our program; We are to looking honor ONGOING initiatives that are led by and have been fully developed by the rights holder groups and/or communities themselves to promote/demand their inclusion in society.
In particular, such initiatives should be about the promotion of:
- Improved access to (productive) resources (finance, land, and water) and employment
- Improved access to social services, health, and education in particular
- Improved spaces for political participation and citizen engagement

These initiatives should be led by one or more of the following groups and / or communities:
#Women facing exploitation abuse and/or violence
#Vulnerable elderly and youth
#People with disabilities
#Indiegenous people and ethnic minorities
Strong preference will be given to initiatives that are able to demonstrate credible instances of intersectionality with at least one or two other rightsholder groups, including youth/elderly and women as a cross-cutting component. ety.
What’s to Win?
The 10 shortlisted initiatives win a 5-day trip for 2 persons (which has to be a gender-balanced team) to participate in the Innovation Bootcamp (travel expenses and stay are covered by Voice).
The 10 shortlisted initiatives will attend the awards ceremony, where their projects will be celebrated and they can connect with other like-minded organisations and make their voices heard in international development conversations on inclusion.
The numbers 1, 2 and 3 winners will be offered a small Voice grant (worth € 25.000, € 15.000, and € 10.000, respectively) to take home the lessons learned from the innovation week and implement their proposed idea. The ‘Public vote’ prize worth 10,000 EUR will be offered to any other organisation in the top 10. However, if the public vote goes to any of the top 3 winners, then they cannot receive a top-up amount; it can only be 25,000, 15,000, or 10,000 euros at the maximum.
The 3 winners will be invited to participate in the regional knowledge exchange in countries that Voice implementing (if international travel is allowed and based on Covid-19 situation. All travel expenses and stay are covered by Voice). Additionally, the top 1 winner will be invited to attend a face-to-face OR virtual Innovation Festival organised by Partos in Amsterdam on October 2022 to connect with other like-minded organisations, and make their voices heard in international development conversations on inclusion.

*Current Voice grantees with ongoing projects cannot apply for the NOW-Us Awards.
Support offered on the program:
The program consists of 2 main components of a 5days Bootcamp and a pitching night with an award ceremony. Within the 5days Bootcamp, participants will undergo intensive training with excuses and worksheets to identify the cause root issue related to their rightsholder group through our design thinking session, then create and plan their innovative project to solve the problem with support from our lead trainer and expert mentors to strengthen their project management skills, financial management skills and M&E skills. Then put all their skill into a pitch deck to pitch on the pitching night to receive the grant.
