This year, the sevend selected teams to pitch are Center for Sustainable Water, My Dream Home, Dine in the Dark, MoanSrae, Peth Yoeung, SmartAgro and TapEffect. Come and meet them to find out what impact they are making and their scaling ambitions for Cambodia and beyond!
“We are so honored to be working with these seven teams doing a wide variety of important and impactful work across Cambodia, from generating employment opportunities for people with visual impairments, to revolutionizing hospital database management. This pitch is their chance to showcase what they’ve achieved, as well as their exciting scaling plans for even greater impact. It is also an opportunity for them to be selected to compete with international businesses to represent Cambodia in Geneva and make strategic international connections.” Abigail Perriman, Accelerate2030 Coordinator for Cambodia.
An acceleration program for impact driven ventures
During this 4 month program, Impact Hub Phnom Penh is working with entrepreneurs with innovative and scalable solutions to the world’s key challenges, including poverty, clean water, health and wellbeing. The program offers selected ventures the expertise and support to shape their scaling strategy, through tailored one-one mentoring and peer-to-peer coaching. Each team has been matched with four expert mentors to work with them in scaling strategy, access to finance, impact measurement and leadership & resilience.
“Working with a group of inspired teams, mentors and the Impact Hub team has been so rewarding and helpful. It has been so useful to be able to share experiences and learn about ways to scale our impact together, and I am in awe of everyone and how they are dedicating themselves to tackling social issues and supporting one another. This program is amazing, thank you Impact Hub for your commitment to growing this community.“ Fatima Shehata, Centre for Sustainable Water.
Global connections to the UN, the private sector and investors
Last year Accelerate2030 ventures were featured in major global forums, including the Social Good Summit Geneva and the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in New York, connecting with key representatives of the private sector, government officials, international organizations, and impact investors.
“New ideas and experiments to tackle old problems through partnership are pivotal to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). That’s exactly what the Social Good Summit Geneva delivers, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, the public sector, and other key stakeholders to scale up innovative, impactful, and scalable solutions for the SDGs. Switzerland is a natural space for these communities to network, learn from each other, and access transformational investment opportunities” notes Sarah Bel, UNDP Geneva.
