Last week we had the honour of signing an MOU with tech startup giants Grab as a first step to kickstart a growing collaboration between our two organisations to promote, support, and grow social innovation and startups in Cambodia.
“Grab have made a name for themselves as a rapidly growing tech startup in Asia and we are very pleased to be collaborating with them. It highlights aspiring Cambodian entrepreneurs and innovators that Cambodia is an increasingly important marketplace and that this growing sector will be supported by innovative companies. We hope that our combined strengths, network and presence will inspire and support Cambodian startups to grow.” – Olivia Hough, Managing Director, Impact Hub Phnom Penh.
Activities will include raising awareness for programs and opportunities for startups, mentoring and judging on programs and events, and sharing valuable networks tat can support the solutions that help Cambodian cities become more sustainable, innovative and safe.
“We are delighted to partner with Impact Hub Phnom Penh to grow and foster Cambodia’s startup ecosystem. As the leading Southeast Asia’s homegrown technology company, Grab is committed to utilize our resources and expertise to help to pave the way for other local tech companies to rise and achieve success. We believe this partnership will stimulate greater innovation and lead to more dynamic growth in the digital economy of Cambodia in the long run.” said Chandara Veung, Acting Country Head of Grab Cambodia.
